This role is essential for the smooth operation of our summer camp, ensuring efficient and accurate bookkeeping, staff coordination, and payroll processing throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Bookkeeping:
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare financial reports and budgets.
Handle bank reconciliations and financial record-keeping.
Human Resources:
Manage staff records and ensure compliance with employment laws.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Payroll Administration:
Process payroll for all camp staff in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage employee benefits and compensation.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Address payroll-related inquiries from staff.
General Administration:
Maintain organized filing systems for financial and HR documents.
Liaise with external parties such as vendors, auditors, and government agencies.
Provide administrative support to camp leadership as needed.
Qualifications Experience in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
Proven experience in bookkeeping, HR, and payroll administration.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software, Quick Books.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Prepare and record journal entries for various accounts- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded- Assist with corporate accounting tasks as needed- Conduct account research and resolve any discrepancies or issues- Utilize double-entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records- Stay updated on technical accounting standards and apply them to financial reporting- Generate financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation- Utilize Sage software for bookkeeping tasksSkills:
- Proficient in journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting - Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles - Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and procedures - Ability to perform account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies - Familiarity with technical accounting standards and financial report writingNote:
