4 Stroudsburg, PA Stroudsburg, PA Full-time Full-time Wanted:
A Problem-Solving Printer! We might be looking for YOU! Do you want to use your skills as a natural problem-solver in a space where your skills and accomplishments are appreciated? Are you a natural finder of solutions who wants to see your talents put to good use? Do you enjoy learning new things, troubleshooting processes, and managing to find solutions where others may only see obstacles? If you have the skillset to become our PROBLEM-SOLVING PRINTER, then keep reading! Minuteman Press of Stroudsburg is a local print shop that has served the Poconos for 15 years and counting.
We print practically everything - from business cards to t-shirts to banners and signs.
Basically, if it gets ink on it then it's probably something we can do.
We have an opening for a production associate - someone who will ultimately learn to print all the products that we produce.
We promise - and deliver - a consistent, quality product and always at a fair price.
You might wonder why even the job posting title includes the phrase Problem-Solving.
This is a job that comes with a lot of variables, since we're in the business of printing whatever our customers need.
Sometimes we need to figure out something new.
Other times things don't work like we expect them to.
Some days the machine you're using is just temperamental.
If, when these things happen, you're the kind of person who sits there awkwardly until someone else figures out why things aren't working right, then this probably isn't the job for you.
We're looking for that person who is energized whenever you find a solution to the latest challenge (even if all the people around you don't fully appreciate just how impressive your solution is).
We've found that people who approach everything they do with a proactive, problem-solving mindset become empowered and successful team members here.
If this sounds like you, then we need to talk.
You'll know this job is for you if:
You're a self-motivator who can work efficiently without anyone checking in frequently or looking over your shoulder.
You're always mindful of HOW things work, and troubleshooting is as natural as walking for you.
You're a multi-tasker who can bounce from one task to another and back again without skipping a beat.
You're a team player who works well in coordination with others.
You thrive under pressure! You're energized by buckling down and meeting deadlines that many people would say can't be met.
You're a competitive person who is energized when you can do things faster or better than others.
You can see yourself running complicated equipment and printing impressive jobs, but you won't hesitate to take out the trash or run a vacuum cleaner.
If the tortoise and the hare story is real, you're a faster version of the tortoise - just plodding away and GETTING CRAP DONE! You can't help focusing on how to do things more efficiently (maybe even to the point of annoying some people around you).
You kinda sit back and giggle when you discover that there's a way to automate something that used be done manually.
You actually enjoy developing and following processes so that a job is done consistently every time.
If a machine needs to be taken apart and fixed, no problem! You're mechanically inclined and if you can take it apart, of course you can put it back together.
You're the type of person who enjoys getting stuff done.
Every day you'll bang out a ton of it.
Big stuff.
Important stuff.
You probably enjoy checking things off your to-do list and watching it grow smaller and smaller.
You get way too excited by things that are well-organized and running smoothly.
You like doing things quickly, efficiently and - most importantly - right! You notice little things that can be tweaked to make tasks more easy and efficient.
You may have even at some point annoyed friends or co-workers by giving them tips how to do a task more efficiently.
You're a tireless problem-solver who just doesn't know how to utter the words I can't.
notice that we don't mention a college degree or years of experience in printing.
This opportunity is about mindset and personal ability.
Let's get the bad stuff out of the way:
This is an in-person job.
