Customer Service & Marketing Specialist

Summary:
The Customer Service & Marketing Specialist assists the Customer Solutions department and Company Management by supporting sales functions such as proposals, quotations to customers, order processing, phone calls with customers. Marketing functions include blog postings, press releases, website coordination, social media, trade shows and collateral materials. The Customer Service and Marketing Specialist will participate in creating a positive image for the Company that is professional, technical, fun and forward-thinking.

Essential Functions:
Select products and price-out custom and standard products, and email quotation to customers.
Answer customer service phone calls and initiate phone calls to customers and potential customers.
Enter and process new orders from customers and send confirmations to customers.
Write press releases and blog posts including new products, trade event participation, staff changes.
Participate in ongoing web site design and development efforts.
Organize promotional events, such as trade shows, networking events and salesperson training.
Coordinate creative initiatives and manage traffic (including photography, video, electronic and print advertising).
Maintain editorial calendars for publications and industry websites to insure the Company's participation where editorial matches the Company's strategic market focus areas.
Review industry related literature to gain an understanding of the various markets, market direction, and competitors. Report monthly on competitor advertising and image.
Assist in developing marketing budget.
Maintain customer and contact data in CRM systems.
Attend various trade shows, up to 3 per year, coordinate meetings, set-up/tear-down exhibit, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications. Graduate work in marketing communications is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Extraverted and outgoing personality.
1+ years experience in business writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Expert level skills in using and navigating social media networks
Expert skills in Microsoft Office.
Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent photo-editing software) preferred.

This position is promotable to manager level.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
